Phalaris arundinacea ‘Dwarf Garters'
A quick-spreading native perennial with flat white-striped foliage that arches away from the stem, reaching 6-12" long and ¾" wide. In the early summer it sports small white to pale pink flowers that will last even through the winter. It prefers moist soil, thriving in wet or boggy sites, but tolerates dry places. Plant it in full sun in cool climates or part shade in hotter regions. Use it as an accent or ground cover in the garden, or in containers for the patio. It is also excellent for use with bedding plants or to soften stronger colors. Space 12 inches apart.
