Dianthus ‘Firewitch’ 'Firewitch' is an amazingly heat-tolerant Dianthus. Most Pinks simply can't take the heat and humidity of the South and the Midwest, but 'Firewitch' puts on a dazzling performance in late spring and continues until fall! A splendid groundcover, these 8-inch mounds of deep blue foliage and bright magenta blooms are also valuable in rock gardens, along walls, at the front of the border, or as an edging where they give an informal tumbling effect. The leaves disappear beneath the wave of brilliant flowers, which continue sporadically all summer. Plant 6 to 8 inches apart in a sunny, well-drained location, preferably in a gritty soil of substantial lime content. Item Form: 3 inch pot Height: 8 inches Width: 9-12 inches Sun Exposure: Full Sun Hardiness Zones: 3-9 Additional Attributes: Heat & Drought Tolerant, Fragrance, Ornamental
