Persimmon trees are a native fruit tree with orange fruit and bark which resenbles alligator hide. Bright green four-inch leaves turn yellow in the fall while the fruit does not ripen until after the first frost. 90% of Persimmons are females so purchase at least 10 to ensure fruit.
