One of the most colorful and beautiful trees for spring blooms, Crepe Myrtles offer long, elegant panicles of blooms arising from smooth, glossy trunks. Often their foliage turns burgundy or bronze in autumn, and the blooms give way to showy berries that dry right on the tree, to the delight of songbirds in the garden. Crepe Myrtles need no pruning, but may be cut back to short stems for a more uniform look in a mass planting. Ship Mar-Dec.
